By the time you reach the Green Belt, your Taekwondo journey has already given you a strong foundation in stances, strikes, and basic kicks. Now, it’s time to push your limits with advanced drills and endurance training. This is where your conditioning, focus, and technique come together. 💪⚡
What we focus on in Class 8:
✅ Endurance Drills – Building the stamina to sustain powerful kicks and combinations for longer rounds. Think: fast footwork, high repetition, and controlled breathing. 🏃♂️💨
✅ Advanced Kicking Combos – Linking multiple kicks (Front ➡️ Side ➡️ Roundhouse) with balance and precision. This develops both explosiveness and fluid transitions. 🦵🔥
✅ Power & Core Integration – Training your body to generate strikes from the ground up. Every punch, every kick must start from strong stances, flow through the hips, and explode at the point of contact. ⚡🥊
Sample Drills for Class 8
1. Endurance Circuit (3 rounds)
- 30s Front Kicks (alternating legs)
- 30s Jump Squats
- 30s Roundhouse Kicks (light bag or shadow)
- 30s Plank Punches
Rest 30s, then repeat. 🕑
2. Advanced Kick Combo Practice
- Step forward → Front Kick → Side Kick → Roundhouse Kick (same leg)
- Reset and repeat × 10 reps per leg.
Coaching cue: Keep your chamber high after the first kick—don’t drop the knee too early.
3. Power Drill – Punch + Kick
- Rear punch + Front kick combo × 10 reps each side.
- Focus on hip rotation + exhale for maximum snap.
