Live Follow-Along Class – Train in Real Time

Introduction ⏱️🥋

This session is different: instead of just learning step by step, you’ll train live in real time with the instructor. Think of it as your first full Karate workout. The goal is not only to refine technique but also to build stamina, rhythm, and flow.

The class is divided into timed rounds — just like in martial arts training — so you can follow along easily while keeping energy high.

Class Structure 🗂️

🔥 1. Mobility Warm-Up (5 minutes)

  • Shoulder rolls & arm swings
  • Hip circles & torso twists
  • Light squats & lunges
💡 Tip: Keep movements smooth, focus on joints — this is your foundation for safe training.

👊 2. Basic Technique Reps (8 minutes)

Repetition builds muscle memory. In this round, you’ll drill:

  • Choku-Zuki (Straight Punch): 20 reps each side.
  • Age-Uke (Rising Block): 20 reps each side.
  • Front Stance Steps: Forward & backward across space.
💡 Tip: Don’t rush. Think “quality reps” over quantity.

🌀 3. Combination Work (8 minutes)

Now we connect the dots with simple combos:

  1. Step → Block → Punch (Soto-Uke + Choku-Zuki).
  2. Front Kick → Punch → Down Block (Mae-Geri + Choku-Zuki + Gedan-Barai).
  3. Double Punch Flow (Jab + Reverse Punch).
💡 Tip: Use your hips! Power comes from rotation, not just arms.

🥋 4. Mini Kata Segment (5 minutes)

Even as a beginner, kata introduces rhythm and form. Practice the opening sequence of Heian Shodan:

  • Start in ready stance (Yoi).
  • Step left → Down Block.
  • Step forward → Straight Punch.
    Repeat both sides with focus.
💡 Tip: Kata is meditation in motion — stay calm and precise.

🧘 5. Cool-Down & Bow Out (3 minutes)

  • Gentle hamstring & shoulder stretch.
  • Deep breathing: inhale through nose, exhale through mouth.
  • Finish with a respectful bow 🙇.

Instructor’s Coaching Points 🎯

  1. Keep consistent rhythm — don’t speed up, don’t fade out.
  2. Always return to stance stability before next move.
  3. Drive from the hips, not just arms and legs.
  4. Use sharp exhalations for timing.
  5. Stay focused — imagine an opponent in front of you.

Conclusion 🌟

This real-time follow-along class gives you a taste of true Karate training flow: warm-up → technique → combination → kata → cool-down. By finishing it, you’ll feel energized, more confident in your basics, and ready to keep progressing.

Think of it as your first complete Karate workout — not just practice, but real training. Keep repeating this session, and you’ll notice your endurance, coordination, and spirit growing stronger each time. 🥋💪🔥
