Taekwondo – Purple Belt – Class 10

Welcome back, warriors! 👋
If you’ve made it this far, congratulations—you’re now training at the Purple Belt level, and Class #10 is where we turn up the intensity. At this stage, you’re no longer a beginner. You’ve built your foundation with solid stances, sharp kicks, and disciplined punches. Now it’s time to take your skills to the next level with advanced drills and conditioning. 🚀

What We’ll Focus On Today:

✅ Combination Drills – At purple belt, techniques are no longer isolated. You’ll learn to flow between kicks, punches, and blocks seamlessly, building the reflexes needed for real sparring. Think Front Kick → Jab → Roundhouse Kick → Back Stance Block. Fluidity is the key. 🌀

✅ Advanced Kicking Variations – We’ll refine your roundhouse kick (Dollyo Chagi) with speed drills, add hook kicks (Huryeo Chagi) for surprise counters, and practice double kicks for agility. 🦵⚡

✅ Conditioning & Endurance – A strong technique without stamina won’t hold up in competition. Today we’ll push your limits with core drills, explosive plyometrics, and kicking endurance rounds. 💪🔥

✅ Mental Focus – Purple belt is where many students plateau. Remember, Taekwondo is as much about discipline of the mind as it is about physical ability. Breathing, focus, and confidence will be emphasized in every drill. 🧘‍♂️✨

  • Focus on balance, recoil, and never dropping your guard.

2️⃣ Advanced Kick Drill (10 reps each leg):

  • Double roundhouse (low → high).
  • Hook kick into roundhouse (fluid motion).
  • Side kick → back kick combo.

3️⃣ Conditioning Circuit (3 rounds):

Key Takeaways 💡

  • At purple belt, you’re training not just to perform moves but to connect them.
  • Conditioning is your secret weapon—don’t skip it. A strong body supports fast, powerful kicks.
  • Keep your spirit high! Kihap (martial yell) is more than just sound—it channels your energy into every strike. ⚡️

Taekwondo is about growth, perseverance, and transformation. With every class, you’re not only shaping your body but also your character. Stay humble, stay hungry, and let’s keep moving forward together! 🥋🔥

See you in Class 11, where we’ll push even further! 💯✨
